If you are not willing to do so, we recommend that you do not apply until an affiliate is developed in your area. If there is not a clinical affiliate listed in your area, you will be required to travel to meet the preclinical and clinical requirements at any of our other institutions as determined by the college. We cannot guarantee that a facility in your area would accept a student for all their rotations therefore you may need to travel to meet preclinical and clinical requirements. If you are currently working at a healthcare facility that would be interested in sponsoring your preclinical and clinical requirements, I would be more than happy to develop an agreement with them, however the laboratory manager would need to contact me to start the process. A list of the cities where our current affiliates are located can be found below. The preclinical and clinical rotations can only be completed at an accredited hospital found in New York State and must be completed first shift M-F, no weekends or evenings due to accreditation requirements. During the last semester of their studies, students will complete clinical training (360 hours) in hospital laboratories affiliated with the program to provide hands-on experience as well as excellent training for immediate employment. The program functions by offering the didactic portion of our course content online and, in lieu of the student laboratories, we require students to attend ‘preclinical’ rotations at an affiliated institution to earn the same competencies.
