The series would go on to spawn 20 spin-off series with a total of 400+ watchable episodes, and went on for three and a half years. She started her main Sims 4 gameplay series titled Dream House on April 1, 2017, with the first episode being her most popular video to date. Her first upload was a gameplay video of the survival horror game Alien Isolation, titled MY SCREAM BROKE THE MICROPHONE!, in October 2014, and during her early years her channel initially focused on miscellaneous horror games. Although initially lacking confidence to become a full-time YouTuber, she was encouraged by her then-boyfriend Ali-A to take the plunge after the two met. Ĭlare previously worked as a marketing strategist in the gaming industry for years before starting her YouTube career.
Ali proposed to Clare while on holiday in Bali in June 2019 and they are currently married.
She is in a relationship with YouTuber Alastair Aiken, better known as Ali-A, whom she met at Gamescom 2014 when she was working there as part of her job with Xbox. She had a striking -7.5 power in her eye, for which she had to undergo laser surgery in 2014, during which she could actually smell the burning, an experience which she described as "the most horrific thing that has ever happened to me". She is very fond of pets, and owns two cats named Darcy and Oliver, as well as two dogs named Eevee (named after the Pokémon) and Lexi. She originally attended university to study medicine, but in her second year realized her talent for marketing and switched subjects, studying Public Relations and Image Management at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012. During her younger days, she had developed insomnia, as well as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). According to her, high school was not easy for her, and she had made it more difficult on herself. She is of Irish descent and her Irish middle name, Siobhan, was given to her by her mother, while her father chose her first name Clare. Her mother's name is Ann Callery, and she has a brother named Dane.
